Open the card to page 3 If there is a member of Congress who inspires contempt in your heart, what better way to tell them so? If Nancy Pelosi received half a million of these, she would implode just like that character (below) in The Wizard of OZ. |

Victory of Henry V at Agincourt – 1415
In October, 1415, King Henry V invaded France with an army of 12,000 Englishmen and Welsh. The English had just introduced a new weapon to their arsenal, the Long Bow, a weapon carved from the Yew Tree. On October 25, 1415, King Henry V found himself and his meager army of 12,000 surrounded by a French force of 100,000. Henry didn’t consider surrender for even a moment, but began planning the best strategies for the use of his Bow-men. The French were derisive of this new “English Toy.” The commander of the French forces ordered that the middle finger of any English bow-men captured would be cut off so they could no longer “pluck the Yew,” (draw their long Bows). Henry’s forces overwhelmed the French on that historic day and as the French fled, the Bow-men hoisted their middle fingers calling, “We can Still Pluck Yew!” Our cards and tee-shirts commemorate that historic event.
