The Paradise Bar & Grill (and Inn)

boasts all a good party needs for a long weekend or a few

weeks at the beach. It's right on the water! You can come in on

your boat, swim in from Pensacola Bay, if you're a mermaid (and I

did see a couple while I was there!). If you get sleepy, there's an

Inn. If you get hungry, there's a great menu. If you want to go

fishing; well, you can do that too. You can even get married at the

Paradise. Someone was about to do that, just after I left. ('Nother

one bites the dust!) If you catch some fish, Renee might just be

willing to cook it for you, if she has the time and you say "please."

If you get sloshed, they even have a life boat (below left).

a warm greeting to strangers, like me.

Ever hear of heating or cooling the whole

outdoors? Well at the Paradise, if the weather's

too warm, which it was on Saturday night when I

was there, they have a misting system! The mist is

so fine that it didn't even mess up my glasses and it

DID take the edge off the high temps. What a

nice way to cool your jets!

The Wedding Band

is getting ready to light up the night. The

music will roll across the bay like seas of

sound and echo off the walls of the city in

the distance. This is a perfect spot for

the Birthday Party of the Middle Finger

Salute. If you want, you can dance and

shout. Or you can lean back and let the

sea breeze wash away the stress of living

on the mainland.

The first Boats to sail these waters

carried Spanish Flags, used wind power and their state of the art navigation was with the astrolabe! That must have taken major guts!

	What a cool place for a wedding reception! It's snuggled right next to the pier, under the mist. You can snatch off your tux and go barefoot in the sand. I wonder if the bride is sporting a bikini under that wedding dress? I bet she is!		The Wedding Band is getting ready to light up the night. Catching ZZZ's on these cots may result in catching too many rays! Don't forget your sunblock! With the sound of the water rippling against the bulkhead and the cries of the seabirds overhead, it would be very easy to drift into dreamland in Paradise. Have a drink, some beer-boiled Gulf Shrimp, lean back and relax.
