This balcony dining area snuggles among the gnarled branches of Live Oak Trees. If you're there at the right moment, you can probably feed some of the many gray squirrels that live in St. Augustine.
19 & 1/2 St. George Street in St. Augustine Florida is one of the most historic sites in town, at the north end of the Spanish Quarter. From the decks in the rear one can view historic
reenactments performed at the Castillo de San Marcos. The Castillo was erected by the Spanish beginning in 1672. This impregnable fortress has never fallen in battle, but it was signed over several times. The Spanish signed it over to the English in 1763 who turned it back to the Spanish in 1784. The Spanish signed it over to the United States in 1821 who then turned it over to the Army of the Confederacy in 1861. The Confederacy gave it back to the Blue Coats in 1863. The Union Army gave it to the National Park Service who has been charging to get in ever since.

When the ample outside decks fill up with people watching for ghosts at the fort, the large indoor dining areas take up the overflow with a/c lovers.
When you look out the window here, if you don't see some fantastic historic sight, then you are not looking out of the window.
The Mill Wheel still turns as it has done for a long long time. I don't think it grinds anything anymore other than tales for the history tellers. And tales there are. Try and catch Don Dunaway up here. Ask him.

After spending a day browsing handy-crafts, art galleries and gift shops... After watching the reenactors and exploring St. Augustine's incredible history, The Mill Top is the place to stretch out your legs, sip a cold drink and laugh about how the cannon fire at the fort startled you.
